The Virtues ProjectTM was founded in 1991 by Linda Kavelin-Popov, her husband Dr. Dan Popov, and her brother, John Kavelin. In 2000, a new company, Virtues Project International Inc. was founded with a committment to provide inspirational programs and materials world-wide. As an independent company, we are not affiliated with any government, corporate, educational, or religious organizations.

Linda Kavelin-Popov

Linda Kavelin-Popov

Linda is an inspiring international speaker on the cultivation of personal and corporate virtues, character education, women's development and community healing. She is a psychotherapist and organizational development consultant to clients such as Arthur Young International, the U.S. GAO, and General Motors. She designed suicide and violence prevention programs used in U.S. municipalities. She has facilitated healing and development in communities of many cultures around the world, and trained educators and government leaders as far afield as Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. She is a charter member of the National Think Tank on Character for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She is on the Advisory Editorial Board for the Spirituality and Ethics segment on CTV National News in Canada. In 2001 she received a Women of Distinction Award from the YW/YMCA. Her work is being applied in communities traumatized by student murders, in day-care centers, prisons and by diverse faith communities. She has been a guest on the Oprah Show and many other talk shows addressing strategies for transforming violence to virtues. She co-produced the television series Virtues: A Family Affair and has written the books and materials which form the core of The Virtues Project.


Dan Popov

Dan Popov, Ph.D.

Co-founder of The Virtues ProjectTM Dr. Popov is a scholar of the world's sacred traditions and Executive Director of WellSpring International Educational Foundation, publishing spiritual education materials for people of all faiths. He is a clinical pediatric psychologist and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has taught at several universities and consulted to government and industry. He was a senior scientist consulting on information systems to NASA. A powerful presenter, he speaks to hundreds of people each year.


Dan Popov

John H. Kavelin

John H. Kavelin is co-founder and a director of The Virtues Project and co-author of The Family Virtues Guide. He is currently the Director of Design & Production at Tokyo Disneyland. Previous "Imagineering"; projects include "ASIA" at Disney's Animal Kingdom, "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" at Disneyland, and a number of proposed additions to Tokyo DisneySea, which opened in the Fall of 2001.
